ASK
Google needed to create an engaging, scalable roadshow to demonstrate how Google AI products can be integrated into key sectors of Italian manufacturing: mechanical, textile, agri-food, and furniture, showing professionals how these technologies can optimize production processes.
SOLUTION
A series of interactive installations tailored for each sector to simulate real production environments and let visitors explore AI-driven improvements firsthand. Each setup blended physical demos, animated content, and real-time feedback to make the experience immersive and intuitive.
CAPTURING LEGACY AND INNOVATION
The Google AI Roadshow for Made in Italy spanned four cities over eight months, winning three BEA awards in 2024. At each stop, sector-specific demos showcased how AI can improve quality control, logistics, procurement, and workflow efficiency.
In the mechanical and textile sectors, touch tables and animated interfaces simulated end-to-end production chains, from goods entry to output. Conveyor belts equipped with sensors and transparent OLED displays illustrated real-time defect detection and guided users through decision-making processes with color-coded lights.
The agri-food event focused on quality assurance systems, while the final furniture sector showcase introduced predictive AI tools for smarter procurement and sustainable sourcing. By combining physical interaction and digital storytelling, the project translated complex technologies into concrete use cases, offering industry experts a hands-on vision of the future.
